Men’s clothing is typically less colorful and more functional than women’s clothing and the reason for this is because men are socialized to be active, and aggressive. Women’s clothing is more colorful, revealing, and brings attention to their body. This is because women are socialized to be more attractive and nurturing than men. The reason I wear the clothes I do is for the same reason it says in the book, I like to get good efficient use out of what I wear and need to be able to be active which means not having restrictive clothing which typically women do wear.
Below are two pictures of two different types of shoes. The first is more of an animated diagram that shows why high heels are bad for you to wear and extremely painful. The next one is a picture of a basic sneaker that you find most men wearing something close to it. This reinforces the notion that women do not dress for efficiency they dress to look good and in a way they use their bodies to decorate. Myself, and most other men will find the most comfortable shoe for every occasion. Even when we have to dress up at weddings or work they make very comfortable mens shoes.
